Liron Cohen

Liron Cohen is an Israeli artist, currently based in Jerusalem. Graduated from Bezalel Academy for Art and Design, Liron works across a variety of mediums, encompassing drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, primitive animation and visual art. All the platforms contain her ongoing investigation into new materials and visual language. Her body of work is identified with ranging from pure abstraction to combining formal elements with figurative elements, often influenced from nature and the powerful relationship between the animalistic and the human being. While stretching the power of line and shape, which usually lives in the space between reality and invention, she is strongly influenced by the written word, stories, modern culture, myths, queer agenda, ancient ceremonies and outsider art. Her works have been featured in exhibitions in Israel and abroad, were published in literature and magazines and included in private collections. Next to her own personal work, she collaborates with artists, writers, choreographers, editors and music composers.
