Raya Manobla (b. 1971) works in painting, drawing and collage. Her visual language is mainly abstract, and at times she includes hints of figurative elements. In her artwork she interprets the world through abstract shapes, exploring relationships between form, color and composition. A graduate of the Jerusalem Studio School Master Class program for painting and drawing ( director Israel Hirschberg). She also studied at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design (Jerusalem) and the Gerrit Rietveld Acadamie (Amsterdam). Solo exhibitions at Barbur Gallery (Jerusalem), Maya Gallery (Tel Aviv), Artist’s house ( Tel Aviv), and participated in various group exhibitions. She was awarded grants by the America - Israel Cultural Foundation, the Mifal HaPais Council for the Culture and Arts, and participated in the Barbur gallery residency program (Jerusalem)
